Jungle Race Sight Word Game for the Red Level sight words

Jungle Race Sight Word Game for the Red Level sight words

$2.00

I designed this game to reinforce the Red Level sight words.

Red Level Words: all, as, are, at, but, for, had, have, he, her, his, not, on, one, said, so, they, we, with, you

These words, together with the Golden Level words, make up on average, one third of all reading words. Children need to recognise these words instantly by sight in order to help them become fluent readers. This is a fun game for 2 to 4 players. You will also need a counter for each player and a dice. All players begin by choosing a counter and placing it on the start. The first player rolls the dice and moves their counter that many spaces. If the player can read the word, he is safe and may stay on that space. If he cannot read the word, he must go back until he finds a word he can read. Players take turns rolling the dice, moving their counter and reading the words.
