The Weather journal is fully aligned to ACARA Version 8—Foundation level. The ACARA content descriptors addressed in each activity are listed at the bottom of each journal page.

Students will be able to use the journal to record and represent their knowledge and understandings of Weather in the Earth and Space sciences. It could also be used as evidence of learning and to inform assessment grades.

I usually compile the pages into a booklet for the children. There are 10 pages of activities so students can complete one activity for each week of a 10 week term.

You might like to just print individual pages for lesson activities as required.

Sometimes I enlarge a page to A3 and we complete the activity together as a whole class. Of course the whole journal could be printed at A3 size and used as a whole class learning journal.
